ABBA Round 30: Last-ranked Freetown T. beats HL Rockersville - Apr 9, 2017

The Regular Season in ABBA is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

Bottom-ranked Freetown T. managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time they edged seventh-ranked HL Rockersville 63-62. HL Rockersville was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 16-14 charge of Freetown T., which allowed them to win the game. Freetown T. (4-12) moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted HL Rockersville dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with HS Outlaws. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Baldwin Braves (12-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Yorks Crushers (4-11). Baldwin Braves managed to secure a 5-point victory 74-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yorks Crushers. Baldwin Braves have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Yorks Crushers at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 11 games lost. Baldwin Braves will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yorks Crushers will play against Stingerz (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The Basketball Behind Bars programme will make its return after a four month pause. BBB as it is affectionately known, will return on December 3 at Her Majesty's Prison.
