Velez Sarsfield clinch Liga Nacional title

Velez Sarsfield repeated as Liga Nacional champions. Velez held off
Lanus in the final game of Top 4 round to clinch the title.
Paula Reggiardo (84) scored 14 points to lead Velez to a 63:51
victory in the decisive game. Velez posted a 17:15 lead at the first
break. They stretched the gap to as many as 7 points at halftime. Lanus
could not recover in the second half as Velez rallied to the victory.
Mariana Cava (168-G-85) nailed 11 points for Velez.
Sandra Pavon (175-F-85) and
Sofia Castillo (175-G-88) added 10 points each in the victory.
Nadia Flores (174-G-90) and
Luciana Zinna (85) accounted for 13 points each for Lanus.
Union Florida finished in the second position in the ladder. They
wrapped up their campaign with a 63:59 win over Central Enterriano.
Marcela Paoletta (170-G-79) notched 18 points to lead the effort.
Daniela Benvenutto added 15 points for the winners.
Veronica Soberon (177-G/F-77) replied with 11 points.
Erica Sanchez (182-F/C-76) had 10 points for Central Enterriano as
they occupied the fourth position.
Marcela Paoletta was named the MVP of the championship.
