Argentino signs first import - Maurice Bolden - Aug 13, 2012

Bolden
Maurice Bolden (208-G/F-89, agency: Strategic Sports, college: S.Mississippi) will start his professional basketball career in Argentina. The American big guy signed a deal with Argentino de Junin. Bolden is a product of Southern Mississippi University, where he spent last three seasons. In the latest one the player had 9.7 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 34 games. He helped Southern Mississippi to reach C-USA Tournament Semifinals and the school was C-USA regular season runner-up as well. In 2010, they were also stopped in C-USA Tournament Semis. That year Bolden had 8.7 ppg and 5.9 rpg in 34 games.
Earlier this year, Maurice Bolden spent some time with UBA team GIE Morrow Disciples. He helped them win UBA title. His new team Argentino de Junin reached TNA Finals last season. They will compete in LigaA 2012/13.

Lanus Regatas - Corrientes 65:69 Regatas Corrientes are the new LigaA champions! They beat Lanus on the road to sweep the title series. Javier Martinez (189-G/F-78, agency: Dream Team Management) and Federico Kammerichs (202-F-80) accounted for 15 points each to pace Regatas. Regatas jumped to an early lead in the game.
