Maurice Bolden (208-G/F-89, agency: Strategic Sports, college: S.Mississippi) will start his professional basketball career in Argentina. The American big guy signed a deal with Argentino de Junin. Bolden is a product of Southern Mississippi University, where he spent last three seasons. In the latest one the player had 9.7 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 34 games. He helped Southern Mississippi to reach C-USA Tournament Semifinals and the school was C-USA regular season runner-up as well. In 2010, they were also stopped in C-USA Tournament Semis. That year Bolden had 8.7 ppg and 5.9 rpg in 34 games. Earlier this year, Maurice Bolden spent some time with UBA team GIE Morrow Disciples. He helped them win UBA title. His new team Argentino de Junin reached TNA Finals last season. They will compete in LigaA 2012/13.

Regatas Corrientes are the new LigaA champions! They beat Lanus on the road to sweep the title series. Javier Martinez (189-G/F-78, agency: Dream Team Management) and Federico Kammerichs (202-F-80) accounted for 15 points each to pace Regatas.

They held on to a 21:17 lead after ten minutes. The Corrientes side stretched the gap in the second period. Regatas accumulated a 36:28 halftime advantage. Lanus were back in the mix in the third quarter. The hosts went on a strong rally to narrow the deficit at 2-point mark 48:50 at the final intermission. Lanus got within a single point 54:55 midway through the fourth frame but Regatas survived the challenge. They capitalized on the absence of Robert Battle who got fouled out in the fourth frame and sealed the historic victory at the end. Tony Washam (200-F-82, college: St.Vincent) posted 12 points for the winners. Adrian Boccia (195-G/F-82) answered with 19 points for Lanus. William McFarlan (201-PF-76, agency: Dream Team Management, college: St.Thomas Aquinas) provided 11 points in the loss.
