Here is the weekly review of the top performing Argentinian players, who play currently abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international shooting guard Emanuel Ginobili (198-77, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in NBA). He led San Antonio Spurs to a victory over the Orlando Magic (6-10) crushing them 110-89 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. Ginobili was MVP of the game. He scored 20 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 24 minutes on the court. The San Antonio Spurs have a very good 14-4 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Ginobili's 11th year with the team. Ginobili has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 11.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.3apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 48.0%, 3FGP: 31.4% and FT: 78.7% in the 15 games he played so far. Ginobili has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international small forward Andres Nocioni (199-79, currently plays in Spain). Nocioni was the main contributor in a 2-point Caja Laboral's victory against the league outsider Lagun Aro GBC (1-9) 71-69 in the Spanish ACB last Sunday. He was the best player in that game. Nocioni recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 14 rebounds. Caja Laboral Vitoria (7-3) is placed fourth in the ACB. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Nocioni's first year with the team. Nocioni is ranked fifth on the list of the top scorers in the league. This season he has very high stats. Nocioni averages: 15.4ppg, 6.2rpg, 2FGP: 56.9%(33-58), 3FGP: 65.4%(17-26) and FT: 64.7%. He is another player who holds two passports: Italian and Argentinian. Ex-Penarol Mar del Plata player is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Pablo Prigioni (190-77, currently plays in NBA). Prigioni contributed to a New York Knicks' victory against the Milwaukee Bucks (8-7) 102-88 in the NBA on Wednesday night. He scored 11 points and added 7 assists in 28 minutes. The New York Knicks have a solid 12-4 record this season. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Prigioni's overall stats are: 3.3ppg, 1.2rpg, 2.9apg, 2FGP: 55.0%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 85.7% in the 15 games. Similarly like Nocioni and Ginobili above he has both Italian and Argentinian nationalities. Prigioni is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #4. Small forward Carlos Delfino (200-82, currently plays in NBA) helped Houston Rockets win their game against the Utah Jazz (9-9) 124-116 in the NBA in Saturday night's game. He scored 13 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists. The Houston Rockets have 8-8 record this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. It's Delfino's first year with the team. Delfino has relatively good stats this season: 8.7ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.0apg. Similarly like three previous players above, he also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian. Delfino is also Argentinian national team player.

He recorded 14 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 24 minutes. The Phoenix Suns have 7-11 record this season. It's Scola's first year with the team. Scola has very impressive stats this year: 12.5ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.6apg in the 18 games. He holds both Argentinian and Spanish passports. Scola plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

Mainoldi recorded 9 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 37 minutes. Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada (2-8) is placed 15th in the ACB. They ended the series of four consecutive loses. Mainoldi is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fifth year in Baloncesto Fuenlabrada's roster. He belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #3 with 7.5rpg. This year Mainoldi's other stats are: 9.4ppg and 1.3apg in the 10 games. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Argentinian National Team roster.

International guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Centrale del Latte Brescia to win in overtime against the league outsider FCM Ferentino (1-7) 75-74 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) on Sunday night. Fernandez scored only 4 points, made 4 passes and 5 steals. Centrale del Latte Brescia (5-3) is placed sixth in the Lega2. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Fernandez's first season with the team. His total stats this year are: 5.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.9spg. Fernandez is also Argentinian national team player.

   #8. Swingman Patricio Garino (198-93, currently plays college basketball in the States) helped G.Washington edge the James Madison University 54-53 in the NCAA in Wednesday night's game. He scored 9 points, made 5 passes and 4 steals in 31 minutes. The The George Washington University has conference record this season. This year Garino's total stats are: 5.8ppg, 2.5rpg, 3.0apg and 1.9spg in the eight games. He used to play for the Argentinian U19 national team last year.

   #9. International point guard Nicolas Richotti (181-86, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB could not help CB Canarias (2-8) to beat FIATC Joventut (5-5). Richotti cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. CB Canarias was defeated 92-81 on the road by the higher-ranked FIATC Joventut (#12). Richotti has averaged so far 8.4ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.4apg. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.

Center Matias Bortolin (205-93, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Austria), who plays in the Austrian A Bundesliga was not able to help the league outsider Arkadia Lions (0-9) in their last game. Despite Bortolin's very good performance the bottom-ranked Arkadia Lions were crushed 104-79 in Wien by the much higher-ranked (#3) BC Vienna. He recorded 15 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in 31 minutes. So far Arkadia Lions lost all nine games in the Regular Season. Bortolin belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #2 with 1.1bpg. This year his other stats are: 10.9ppg, 6.6rpg, 3.0apg and 1.5spg in the eight games. Bortolin is a former U17 international player as two years ago he still played for the Argentinian national team.

   #11. International point guard Juan Pablo Figueroa (184-86, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Brazil) helped Franca win their game against one of league's weakest teams Basquete Cearense crushing them 90-68 in the Brazilian NBB on Monday night. He was the top player that evening. Figueroa had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 11 rebounds. He also added 4 blocks in 34 minutes. Figueroa is currently first on the list of best blockers and also on the list of most steals (fifth place). He has very reliable stats this year: 12.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.0apg and 3.8bpg in the four games. Figueroa plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

   #12. Former U19 international guard Cristian Cortez (185-90, currently plays in Brazil), who plays in the Brazilian NBB was not able to secure a victory for Mogi das Cruzes (1-2) in their last game on Monday. Despite his good performance Mogi das Cruzes was defeated in an overtime 80-73 at home by the much higher-ranked Bauru (#5). Cortez scored 13 points. This season he has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 3.7apg. Cortez used to play for the Argentinian U19 national team back in 2009.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in an AcegasAps TR's victory against the third-ranked Sigma Barcellona (6-3) 76-61 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) on Sunday night. He scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Acegas Aps Trieste (5-4) is placed eighth in the Lega2. This season Filloy has relatively solid stats: 11.7ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Despite Filloy's Argentinian passport, he previously played for the Italian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Argentinian team.

   #2. Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) led Pall.Trento to a 2-point victory against one of league's weakest teams Upea CdO (2-7) 82-80 in the Italian Lega2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Forray scored 15 points in 29 minutes. Pallacanestro Trento 2009 (5-3) is placed seventh in the Lega2. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Forray's total stats are: 8.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.3apg and 1.9spg in the eight games he played so far. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Demian Filloy (198-F-82, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian SerieA could not help Trenkwalder RE (5-5) to beat Enel Brindisi (5-5). Filloy recorded 6 points. Trenkwalder RE was edged 78-75 at home by the lower-ranked Enel Brindisi (#9). Filloy's total stats this season are: 3.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.5spg. Similarly like Forray and Filloy above he has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #4. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian Lega2 (second division) was not able to help LeGamberi Foods Forlì (3-5) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Musso's good performance LeGamberi Foods Forlì was defeated 77-68 on the road by the higher-ranked Novipiu Casale (#5). He was the second best scorer with 11 points. Musso also added 6 rebounds. Musso's total stats this season are: 7.3ppg, 4.0rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg. Similarly like three previous players above, he also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #5. Albano Chiarastella (196-F-85, currently plays in Italy) led Agrigento to a victory over the 15th-ranked Recanati (4-8) 69-62 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) last Sunday. Chiarastella was the top player that evening. He recorded 14 points in a mere 19 minutes. Moncada Solar Agrigento (8-5) is placed fourth in the Nazionale A. This year Chiarastella's total stats are: 8.3ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.3spg in the three games. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #6. Juan Ignacio Jasen (196-F-85, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for UCAM Murcia in their game against Unicaja Malaga in the Spanish ACB. Jasen cannot count Sunday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 2 points and had 3 steals in 18 minutes. His team was crushed by 27 points 85-58. Jasen has averaged so far 4.3ppg, 2.0rpg and 1.2apg in the nine games. Similarly like all previous players above, he has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #7. Mario Jose Ghersetti (201-F-81, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Tezenis VE in their game against Pall.Trento in the Italian Lega2 (second division). Ghersetti scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 78-70. Ghersetti has averaged so far 9.1ppg, 5.4rpg, 1.6apg and 2.0spg. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #8. Augustin Fabi (199-G/F-91, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Liomatic Viola Reggio Calabria's surprising victory against the tenth-ranked Casalpusterlengo 77-65 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) last Sunday. Fabi recorded 12 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 28 minutes. Fabi has averaged so far 9.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.3apg and 1.4spg in the 11 games. Similarly like all previous players above, he holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #9. Carlos Sebastian Vico (190-G-86, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Bawer Matera to win against the fifth-ranked Firenze 74-64 in the Italian Nazionale A (third division) on Sunday night. Vico scored 5 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists. This season Vico has relatively solid stats: 12.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 2.7apg and 2.8spg. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #10. Pablo Gamaleri (194-F-93, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Austria), who plays in the Austrian A Bundesliga couldn't help the league outsider Arkadia Lions (0-9) in their last game. Despite Gamaleri's very good performance the bottom-ranked Arkadia Lions were crushed 104-79 in Wien by the much higher-ranked (#3) BC Vienna. He was the second best scorer with 22 points. Gamaleri also added 6 rebounds in 32 minutes. This year Gamaleri has relatively solid stats: 10.4ppg and 3.4rpg in the five games. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

In 54 games he averaged impressive 16.1ppg and 7.6rpg last season. A very good year in his career as he was selected to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian LigaA Honorable Mention. 26-year old swingman Bruno Barovero (194-G/F-90) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Union SF and receives a Latinbasket.com TNA Player of the Week award for round 15. He had the game-high 36 points adding six rebounds for Union SF in his team's victory, helping them to beat Salta Basket (#5, 6-7) 101-92. Best Player of the Year award back in 2011. He is a very experienced player. Harper has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to seven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America).
