Flamengo - Regatas Corrientes 82:81

Regatas Corrientes have become the Liga Sudamericana champions. They clinched the crown despite the loss to Flamengo in the final game of the tournament. Paolo Quinteros (190-G/F-79) stepped up with 24 points to pace Regatas. He was named the tournmants MVP after the game.
Flamengo entered the game looking for a 13+ point victory to claim the trophy. But Regatas stayed in charge as they posted a 20:18 lead after the starting quarter. The teams traded baskets throughout the second frame. Regatas accounted for a 37:35 halftime lead. Flamengo stepped on the gas in the third quarter. The Rio de Janeiro team surged ahead for a 61:58 advantage at the final break. Flamengo extended the margin to 8 points in the fourth frame but Regatas did not allow their opponents to get any further away. The hosts stopped the bleeding and secured the needed result at the end. Vitor Benite (190-F/G-90) provided 21 points for Flamengo. Shilton Santos (198-F/C-82) added 15 points for the winners. Javier Martinez (189-G/F-78, agency: Dream Team Management) answered with 20 points for Regatas. Meyinsse netted 18 points in the loss.

Juan Cangelosi
Juan Cangelosi stays with Argentino - Jun 19, 2013

Argentino have agreed on terms of contract extension with Juan Cangelosi (195-G/F-81). The forward will stay with the team for another season. Juan Cangelosi will enter the fourth straight season with the Junin outfit. Last season Juan Cangelosi tallied 8.9 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in LigaA. Previously Juan Cangelosi had stints with Quilmes, Bahia Estudiantes, Central Enterriano, Mallorca, Ciclista Juninense. Gimnasio Indalo to hire Gonzalo Garcia - Jun 19, 2013

Gimnasio Indalo are set to hire Gonzalo Garcia as the teams next head coach. The specialist is currently working as assistant coach with the Argentinean National Team. Last season Gonzalo Garcia started at helm of La Union. He moved to Obras Sanitarias in October. Previously Gonzalo Garcia worked with Flamengo, Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda, Ford Burgos, Regatas Corrientes, Libertad Sunchales, Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. Barrio Parque extend Esteban Cantarutti - Jun 19, 2013

Newly promoted to TNA Barrio Parque are building the roster for the next season. They secured the services of Esteban Cantarutti (185-G-88) for another season. The guard will enter the fourth straight season with the team. Barrio Parque also kept Osvaldo Arduh at the bridge. The specialist will enter the second straight season with the team. Previously Osvaldo Arduh worked with Union de Sunchales. He led the team to TNA Finals in 2009.    [read more]
