Bottom-ranked La Union managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of five consecutive loses on Friday night. This time they won against twelfth-ranked GECR Indalo in Formosa 78-67. The game was mostly controlled by La Union. GECR Indalo managed to win third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by GECR Indalo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Nicolas Gianella (186-78) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and American forward Gregory Lewis (200-78, college: Winthrop, agency: Dream Team Management) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds.
