Quilmes Mar del Plata welcomes back Marin - Jul 9, 2013

Anibal Marin
Quilmes Mar del Plata (TNA) tabbed 31-year old naturalized Italian swingman Anibal Marin (199-82). It is actually his comeback to Mar del Plata as he played here before. Marin has played for the last two years at La Union (LigaA). In 44 games he averaged 7.3ppg, 3.2rpg and 1.1apg last season.
Among other achievements his team made it to the LigaA Semifinals in 2011. Marin received also Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian LigaA 2nd Team award back in 2009. He represented Argentina at the COCABA Championships for Clubs six years ago.
Marin has played previously professionally in Argentina (Atletico Independiente Neuquen, Belgrano San Nicolas, Estudiantes Olavarria, Argentino and Quimsa) and Guatemala (Bodega Radio).
Let's have closer look into His outlook: Surprising for his effectiveness in this position; incredible self confidence for a guy of his age, can score against any opponent, and is able to rebound well and to score from inside, thanks to his beginnings at power forward; needs to add bulk and experience, but he is quickly converting in one of the best young Argentinian players.
A very effective player, with great offensive skills, good ball handler and passer, who made a succesful conversion to guard and small forward, but who started his career at 4 position, and thanks to this he's able to play inside, and to guard power forwards
