Cecilia Lineira (180-G-86) was the major contributor in Orion-GDKO's victory against the sixth-ranked Gernika in the Spanish LF2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game.

We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is former international forward Alejandra Chesta (187-82, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy), who plays in the Italian A2 (12th division). Chesta could not help Alghero (13-13) in their last game on Saturday. Despite her good performance the seventh-placed Alghero was edged 58-55 at home by the lower-ranked San Salvatore (#11) in the North group.
Chesta recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting the same number of rebounds. She also added and 3 steals.
The Regular Season already ended.
It's Chesta's first season with the team.
Chesta is ranked ninth on the list of the top scorers in the league.
She has very reliable stats this season: 15.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.3spg, 2FGP: 42.5%, 3FGP: 31.8% and FT: 89.6%.
Chesta has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.
She played for the Argentinian senior national team three years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international guard Laura Nicolini (174-75, currently plays in Italy). Nicolini was the major contributor in an Virtus Cagliari's victory against the 12th-ranked Valmadrera (8-18) 63-44 in the Italian A2 (12th division) on Saturday night.
She scored 13 points, grabbed 5 boards, dished 4 assists and stole 3 balls in 36 minutes.
A.T.S. Energia Virtus Cagliari (9-17) is placed tenth in North group.
The Regular Season already ended.
Nicolini is currently sixth on the list of best passers with 2.4apg.
This year her other stats are: 12.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.2spg, 2FGP: 40.4%, 3FGP: 17.5% and FT: 75.2% in the 25 games she played so far.
Nicolini is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.
She played for the Argentinian national team in 2007.
#3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Valentina Maggi (171-85, currently plays in Italy). Maggi was not able to help Irpino (10-14) in their game against Min.Battipaglia (16-8) in the Italian A2 (12th division). Despite her very good performance in Sunday night's game She scored 13 points.
The Regular Season already ended.
Maggi has relatively good stats this season: 10.5ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 46.8%, 3FGP: 35.3% and FT: 71.4%.
Similarly like Nicolini and Chesta above she has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

#4. Guard Sthefany Thomas (173-89, college: Clemson, currently plays in Norway) led Gimle to a 2-point victory over the league leader Ullern (18-2) 70-68 in the Norwegian Kvinneligaen on Sunday night.
She was MVP of the game. Thomas recorded 29 points (!!!), 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals; quite an impressive performance considering it's only her third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gimle BBK Bergen (17-3) is placed second in the Kvinneligaen.
It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row.
Thomas is the league's top scorer and also on the list of best passers (fourth place).
She has individually a very good season with high stats. Thomas averages: 22.0ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.1apg and 4.0spg.
She is a naturalized American.

back in 2008. Strangely she has never played in Argentina.

Irpino (#9) was edged 61-59 at home by the higher-ranked (#5) Min.Battipaglia in the South group.
It was Irpino's first loss after three consecutive victories.
