Scott Cutley
Experienced American Scott Cutley (196-F-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Atenas Carmen and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com TNA Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 31-year old forward had a double-double of 33 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team beat Platense (#3, 13-12) 93-83. Atenas Carmen maintains the 5th position in their group in Argentinian TNA. Atenas Carmen is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-13 record. In the team's last game Cutley had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Atenas Carmen's top player in his first season with the team. California State University, Fullerton graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cutley is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.3rpg) and averages solid 51.7% FGP. Worth to mention Cutley played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 31-year old American Jeffrey Fahnbulleh (200-C/F-85) of league's best team Ciclista. Fahnbulleh impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. It was enough for Ciclista to edge slightly lower-ranked Olimpo BB (#3, 15-10) by 6 points 74-68. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in South. Ciclista consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 17-11 record. Fahnbulleh is a newcomer at Ciclista and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.5ppg (#2). He also registered 8.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Santiago Gonzalez (203-C-83) of second-ranked San Isidro. Gonzalez scored 25 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Gonzalez's great performance San Isidro lost 73-84 to the lower-ranked Mitre Tuc. (#7, 7-19). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing San Isidro needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in North. Their record is 18 victories and 11 lost games. Gonzalez has a great season in Argentina. After 29 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.9rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jose Victor Jeronimo (208-C-91) of Gimnasia LP - 23 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Juan Lancieri (190-SG-95) of Gimnasia LP - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Ike Okoye (206-F/C-86) of Salta Basket - 22 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Tirrell Brown (198-F-93) of Mitre Tuc. - 32 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Nicolas Lauria (202-F-88) of Comunicaciones - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Bruno Ingrata (201-F/C-85) of Independiente BBC - 25 points and 7 rebounds
10. Victor Hugo Cajal (179-PG-80) of Independiente BBC - 15 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

LigaA Round 1 of Semi-Finals. San Martin and Instituto enter Final - 2 days ago
GECR Indalo - San Martin C. 83-85 San Martin Corrientes advanced into LigaA Super 20 Final after they nipped GECR Indalo. San Martin Corrientes made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. Strangely GECR Indalo outrebounded San Martin Corrientes 38-21 including 24 on the defensive glass.
