The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked San Lorenzo (25-11) in Almagra on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by second ranked Ferrocarril (23-11) 85-83. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Ferrocarril outrebounded San Lorenzo 40-25 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Spanish Alvaro Calvo (202-83, agency: Dynamics Global Management) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Center Jose-Ignacio Alessio (203-87) contributed with 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Jerome Meyinsse (207-88, college: Virginia, agency: Stealth Sport) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for San Lorenzo. Ferrocarril have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-11 record having just two points less than leader San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. Defending champion still keeps top position with 11 games lost. Ferrocarril are looking forward to face GECR Indalo (#4) in Comodoro R. in the next round. San Lorenzo will play at home against Regatas Corrientes and is hoping to win this game.
An interesting game for Instituto (23-14) which played road game in Almagra against leader San Lorenzo (25-11). Third ranked Instituto managed to get a 9-point victory 91-82. It was a great evening for American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Miguel Gerlero helped adding 17 points. American center Jerome Meyinsse (207-88, college: Virginia, agency: Stealth Sport) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Instituto maintains third place with 23-14 record having just one point less than leader San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. Defending champion still keeps top position with 11 games lost. Instituto will play against Obras Basket (#5) in Buenos Aires in the next round. San Lorenzo will play at home against Regatas Corrientes (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Santiado Estero was also quite interesting. Second ranked Estudiantes C. (25-12) played at the court of 5th ranked Quimsa (20-15). Estudiantes C. managed to secure a 7-point victory 80-73 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Quimsa. It was an exceptional evening for Dar Tucker who led the winners and scored 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Aaron Harper came up with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Quimsa in the defeat. Estudiantes C. maintains second place with 25-12 record having just three point less than leader San Lorenzo. Quimsa at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Estudiantes C. will meet at home league's leader San Martin Corrientes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quimsa will have a break next round.
A very interesting game took place in Buenos Aires. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Obras Basket (17-19) to ninth ranked Boca Juniors (11-25) 87-86 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The best player for the winners was Nicolas Gianella who scored 21 points. Obras Basket's coach Nicolas Casalanguida rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boca Juniors have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 11-25 record. Obras Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 19 games lost. Boca Juniors' next round opponent will be higher ranked Quilmes MP (#7) in Mar del Plata and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obras Basket will play on the road against Instituto in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Tenth-ranked Hispano Am. (11-27) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked Argentino (16-19) in Rio Gallegos on Thursday. The visitors from Junin managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75. However their fans expected much easier game. Novar Gadson orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Argentino maintains sixth place with 16-19 record, which they share with La Union. Newly promoted Hispano Am. keeps the tenth position with 27 games lost. Argentino will have a break next round. Hispano Am. will play at home against Regatas Corrientes (#4) and hope to win that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 35: Echague was smashed by Olimpico LB on the road 101-64. Hispano Am. lost to Instituto on its own court 90-95. Boca Jrs unfortunately lost to Weber Bahia in Bahia Blanca 60-69. GECR Indalo managed to beat Argentino at home 84-74. Echague was crushed by Quimsa on the opponent's court 93-68. GECR Indalo beat Olimpico LB in a home game 74-70. Penarol was destroyed by Libertad S. on the road 85-66.
The most impressive performance of 35th round was 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists by Mauro Cosolito of Olimpico LB.

Olimpico LB - Echague 101-64

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Olimpico de La Banda (18-18) crushed at home 10th ranked Echague (6-30) 101-64 on Saturday. Olimpico de La Banda dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Echague's 32. Olimpico de La Banda forced 20 Echague turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Echague's players. The former international swingman Adrian Boccia (195-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 4 assists. Mauro Cosolito (195-88) contributed with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Olimpico de La Banda players scored in double figures. Olimpico de La Banda's coach Fernando Duro felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican guard Gelvis Solano (185-94, college: Merrimack, agency: Basket Management Solutions) answered with 21 points and 4 assists and forward Emilio Stucky (198-94) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Echague. Olimpico de La Banda moved-up to fourth place, which they share with GECR Indalo. Newly promoted Echague keeps the tenth position with 30 games lost. Olimpico de La Banda will face league's second-placed Estudiantes C. in Concordia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Echague will play at home against Weber Bahia (#3) and hope to win that game.

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Quimsa (20-15) outplayed 10th ranked Echague (6-30) in Santiado Estero 93-68 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Quimsa. The former international forward Nicolas Romano (200-87) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Quimsa's coach Nestor Garcia felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Derrick Caracter (206-88, college: UTEP) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Sebastian Uranga (200-89) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Echague. Quimsa have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 20-15 record. Newly promoted Echague keeps the tenth position with 30 games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round. Echague will play at home against Weber Bahia (#3) and hope to win that game.

An interesting game for Instituto (23-14) which played road game in Almagra against leader San Lorenzo (25-11). Third ranked Instituto managed to get a 9-point victory 91-82. Instituto players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a great evening for American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Miguel Gerlero (195-88) helped adding 17 points. American center Jerome Meyinsse (207-88, college: Virginia, agency: Stealth Sport) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and international forward Gabriel Deck (199-95) scored 20 points. Four Instituto and five San Lorenzo players scored in double figures. Instituto maintains third place with 23-14 record having just one point less than leader San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo lost third consecutive game. Defending champion still keeps top position with 11 games lost. Instituto will play against Obras Basket (#5) in Buenos Aires in the next round. San Lorenzo will play at home against Regatas Corrientes (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

A very interesting game took place in Buenos Aires. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Obras Basket (17-19) to ninth ranked Boca Juniors (11-25) 87-86 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. The hosts were ahead by 8 points but lost the second period ending it with a 6-point deficit before their 30-23 run, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Nicolas Gianella (186-78) who scored 21 points. Point guard Lucas Perez (185-87) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. American forward Dennis Horner (205-88, college: N.Carolina St.) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Tomas Zanzottera (192-93) added 23 points respectively for the guests. Five Boca Juniors and four Obras Basket players scored in double figures. Obras Basket's coach Nicolas Casalanguida rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Boca Juniors have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain ninth place with 11-25 record. Obras Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 19 games lost. Boca Juniors' next round opponent will be higher ranked Quilmes MP (#7) in Mar del Plata and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Obras Basket will play on the road against Instituto in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
