Rodney Green
28-year old swingman Rodney Green (196-G/F-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for Instituto and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 35.
He had the game-high 26 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Instituto in his team's victory, helping them to beat San Lorenzo (#1, 25-11) 91-82. Instituto maintains the 3rd position in their group in Argentinian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Instituto will need more victories to improve their 23-14 record. In the team's last game Green had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Instituto's top player in his first season with the team. La Salle University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Green is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.1ppg) and averages solid 57.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Sam Clancy (202-C-80, agency: DTMones). He is American center in his first season at Instituto. In the last game Clancy recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Instituto to edge the lower-ranked Hispano Am. (#10, 11-27) by 5 points 95-90. Instituto's 3rd position in Norte has not changed. His team's 23-14 record is not bad at all. Clancy is a newcomer at Instituto and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Adrian Boccia (195-G/F-82) of Olimpico LB (#6). Boccia scored 26 points and grabbed ten rebounds. Despite Boccia's great performance Olimpico LB lost 70-74 to slightly higher-ranked GECR Indalo (#4, 18-18). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Olimpico LB needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Norte. Their record is 19 victories and 18 lost games. Boccia has a very solid season. In 37 games in Argentina he scored 14.9ppg. Adrian Boccia has also Argentinian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jerome Meyinsse (207-C-88) of San Lorenzo - 23 points and 9 rebounds
5. Dar Tucker (193-SG-88) of Estudiantes C. - 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-C-88) of Weber Bahia - 21 points and 10 rebounds
7. Novar Gadson (201-G-89) of Argentino - 26 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Dennis Horner (205-F-88) of Obras Basket - 22 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Alvaro Calvo (202-SF-83) of Ferrocarril - 18 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Aaron Harper (203-SF-81) of Quimsa - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
