We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain). He could not help UCAM Murcia (7-15) in their last game. Despite Campazzo's very good performance UCAM Murcia was edged 73-70 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#4) FC Barcelona. He was the top scorer with 20 points. Campazzo also added 4 assists in 26 minutes on the court. Campazzo has relatively good stats this year: 15.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.9apg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 50.8%, 3FGP: 29.8% and FT: 81.6% in 21 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (193-90, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to Baskonia's victory against the 13th-ranked Valencia Basket (5-16) 71-63 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Laprovittola scored 6 points. Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz (16-6) is placed second in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This season Laprovittola averages: 6.4ppg, 1.4rpg, 4.6apg, 2FGP: 25.0%, 3FGP: 35.3% and FT: 90.9%. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Nicolas Richotti (183-86, currently plays in Spain). Richotti managed to help Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias in a victory against the tenth-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (10-12) crushing them 85-61 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. He recorded only 4 points and added 4 passes in 11 minutes. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (17-5) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. It's Richotti's seventh season with the team. This year Richotti's overall stats are: 7.2ppg, 1.6rpg, 2.0apg in five games. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Richotti is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

Forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Austria) led Arkadia Lions to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams UBSC Graz (6-18) crushing them 108-51 in the Austrian A Bundesliga in Sunday night's game. Vay scored 15 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions (12-12) are placed fifth in the A Bundesliga. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. Vay is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Arkadia Lions' roster. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Vay averages: 18.6ppg, 8.2rpg, 3.4apg and 1.3spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian. Vay used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2009.

International guard Manu Ginobili (198-77, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in NBA) contributed to a 1-point San Antonio Spurs' victory against the Indiana Pacers (32-30) 100-99 in the NBA last Wednesday. He scored 9 points in 23 minutes. The San Antonio Spurs have quite an impressive 48-13 record this season. It was his team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Ginobili has been at the team for fifteen years. This season Ginobili has relatively solid stats: 7.6ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.5apg and 1.1spg in 53 games. Similarly like Vay and Richotti above he has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities. Ginobili plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

Guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Spain) led Leche Rio Breogan to a victory over the 12th-ranked Castello (11-15) 96-88 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Friday night. He was MVP of the game. Fernandez scored 21 points and added 5 passes. Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo (17-8) is placed second in the LEB Gold. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. It's Fernandez's first season with the team. His total stats this year are: 9.1ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.0apg. Fernandez is a former international player as he played for the Argentinian senior team three years ago.

   #7. International center Marcos Delia (211-92, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Facundo Campazzo. But that was another game of his team in Spanish Liga Endesa which we would like to mention. Delia contributed to an UCAM Murcia's victory against the closely-ranked Sevilla (7-14) 92-80. He recorded 8 points in 18 minutes. Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (7-15) is placed 15th in the Liga Endesa. This year Delia's total stats are: 6.2ppg and 3.2rpg in 22 games. He is also Argentinian national team player.

   #8. Center Luciano Tognon (205-94, currently plays in Chile) was not able to help Universidad de Concepcion in their game against Espanol de Talca (17-13) in the Chilean Liga Nacional. Tognon recorded 7 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 19 minutes. The second-placed Universidad de Concepcion (20-10) lost 74-86 in Talca to the lower-ranked (#3) Espanol de in the Conferencia Centro. Tognon has averaged so far 1.8ppg and 2.2rpg in 26 games. He used to play for the Argentinian U18 national team back in 2012.

International swingman Nicolas Brussino (202-93, currently plays in NBA) was not able to secure a victory for the Dallas Mavericks (26-36) in their game against the Atlanta Hawks (34-28) in the NBA. Brussino cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 3 points. The Dallas Mavericks (26-36) were defeated 100-95 in Atlanta by the Hawks. Brussino has averaged so far 1.8ppg and 1.3rpg. He is also in the roster of the Argentinian national team.

   #10. Point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Denmark) couldn't help Svendborg (13-13) in their game against Horsholm (13-5) in the Danish Ligaen. Porta scored 5 points and had 3 steals. Svendborg was defeated 67-58 at home by the second-ranked Horsholm. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Porta has reliable stats this season: 10.1ppg, 1.8rpg, 3.3apg and 1.1spg. He is a former international player as nine years ago he still played for the Argentinian senior national team.

   #11. Former U16 international small forward Juan Manuel Caceres (199-84, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Valmontone in their game against Basket Barcellona in the Italian Serie B (third division). Caceres recorded 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was defeated 97-90. Caceres' stats this season are: 10.5ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.2apg. He used to play for the Argentinian U16 national team fifteen years ago.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams VL Pesaro (7-14) crushing them 85-61 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. Filloy scored 9 points and added 3 assists. Umana Reyer Venezia (13-8) is placed second in the Serie A. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. This season Filloy averages: 6.3ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.6apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Despite Filloy's Argentinian passport, he previously played for the Italian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Argentinian team.

   #2. Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) led Dolomiti En. TR to a victory against the 12th-ranked Juvecaserta (9-12) 76-66 in the Italian Serie A on Sunday night. Forray scored 12 points and had 4 steals in 21 minutes. Dolomiti Energia Trento (12-9) is placed fourth in the Serie A. It was his team's sixth consecutive victory in a row. It's Forray's sixth season with the team. This year he averages: 5.9ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.9apg and 1.4spg in 21 games he played so far. Forray is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #3. Experienced Omar Canton (206-C-82, currently plays in Liga Americas) contributed to Hebraica's victory against the third-ranked Leones (2-91) 80-67 in the Liga Americas on Saturday night. He scored 10 points. Hebraica Macabi Montevideo (91-2) is placed first in group F. The Second Stage already ended in the Liga Americas. Canton's total stats this season are: 5.5ppg and 4.2rpg. Similarly like Forray and Filloy above he has both Italian and Argentinian nationalities.

   #4. Tulio Cobos (197-F-86, college: Northeastern St., currently plays in Venezuela) was the major contributor in Bucaneros' victory against the fifth-ranked Panteras (0-2) 69-64 in the Venezuelan LPB in Saturday night's game. Cobos scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 20 minutes. Bucaneros de La Guaira (2-2) is placed first in Eastern Conference. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Cobos has relatively solid stats: 11.3ppg and 5.3rpg in four games.

   #5. Brian Savoy (189-SG-92, currently plays in Switzerland) led Neuchatel to a victory over the closely-ranked Monthey (13-5) 90-84 in the Swiss LNA last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Savoy scored 24 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Union Neuchatel Basket (11-7) is placed fifth in the LNA. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Savoy is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Neuchatel's roster. This season he has relatively solid stats: 13.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 4.6apg and 1.1spg. Savoy also holds two passports: Argentinian and Swiss.

   #6. Dante Richotti (180-PG-85, currently plays in Italy) could not help Scauri (10-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the ninth-placed Scauri was edged 77-74 on the road by the lower-ranked (#13) Patti in the Group C. Richotti had a double-double by scoring 25 points and making 10 passes. He also added 7 rebounds and 7 steals in 40 minutes. This year Richotti's total stats are: 9.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 4.6apg and 1.8spg in 21 games. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #7. Min-Soo Kim (200-C-82, currently plays in South Korea) contributed to an overtime SK Knights' victory against the league outsider Sonic Boom KT 82-75 in the South Korean KBL last Friday. Kim recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 2 blocks. Kim has averaged so far 8.3ppg and 4.7rpg. He holds both South Korean and Argentinian passports.

   #8. Erik Thomas (196-F-95, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an New Orleans' victory against the Nicholls State University 74-64 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Thomas had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists in 35 minutes. Thomas has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.5ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg in 27 games. Thomas is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in Argentina.

   #9. Demian Filloy (198-F-82, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) contributed to a Lighthouse TR's victory against the 15th-ranked Scafati 74-69 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. Filloy recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds. He also added 3 assists. Filloy has averaged so far 6.0ppg, 3.9rpg and 2.0apg. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #10. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help FCM Ferentino (9-14) in their last game. Despite Musso's good performance the 13th-placed FCM Ferentino lost 70-79 in Latina to the much higher-ranked (#4) Basket in the West group. He was the second best scorer with 12 points. Musso also added 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 32 minutes. Musso has reliable stats this year: 13.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.4apg and 1.5spg in 23 games. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

Obras Basket Buenos Aires (LigaA) agreed terms with 25-year old Mexican international forward Juan Toscano (198-95kg-93, college: Marquette, agency: BeoBasket). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Toscano started the season at played at Fuerza Regia in Mexican LNBP. In 46 games he had 13.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.3apg and 1.5spg (in top 5) this season.
