The Regular Season in TNA is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Parque Sur as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Parque Sur edged 5th ranked Atenas in Concepcion de Urug. 74-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Atenas. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 1 point. The best player for the winners was power forward Sebastian Bernasconi (203-86) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Pablo Alderete (196-93) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Scott Cutley (196-85, college: CS Fullerton) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Atenas at the other side keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Top ranked Hindu (25-6) recorded its sixth loss in Las Parejas. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked Sportivo (8-24) 97-88. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hindu. Guard Augusto Rossi (192-88) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists. A Meinero contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Kenny Jones (198-84, college: Kentucky St., agency: DTMones) answered with 27 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for Hindu. Hindu's coach Jeronimo Trezza rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Sportivo maintains sixth place with 8-24 record. Hindu at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Sportivo will play against league's second-placed Comunicaciones in Mercedes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hindu will play against Independiente BBC and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A very close game took place in Tucuman between Mitre Tuc. and Obera TC. Fifth ranked Mitre Tuc. (10-21) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Obera TC (9-20). Mitre Tuc. managed to escape with a 1-point win 90-89 on Tuesday evening. Tirrell Brown stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Arkeem Joseph responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Mitre Tuc. have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Mitre Tuc. maintains fifth place with 10-21 record, which they share with Villa San Martin. Obera TC lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with 20 games lost. Mitre Tuc. will again meet Obera TC (#7) on the road in the next round. Obera TC will have a break next round.
A very interesting game took place in Salta. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed BHY Tiro Federal (12-20) to fourth ranked Salta Basket (15-15) 82-79 on Saturday evening. Ike Okoye nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Salta Basket moved-up to third place, which they share with Temperley. BHY Tiro Federal at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 20 games lost. Salta Basket's next round opponent will be Villa San Martin (#5) in Resistencia. BHY Tiro Federal will play at home against the league's leader Union SF and hope to win that game.
Important game to mention about took place in Temperley. Fourth ranked CA Temperley (15-15) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 4th placed Olimpo (16-12) 82-79 in the game for the third place. The best player for the winners was Sebastian Chaine who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. CA Temperley's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. CA Temperley moved-up to third place, which they share with Salta Basket. Loser Olimpo keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Other games of round 29 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Alianza Viedma defeated Ciclista in Rio Negro 82-76. Villa Angela beat Mitre Tuc. at home 90-81. San Isidro was destroyed by Comunicaciones on the opponent's court 71-48. Petr.Argentino managed to outperform Gimnasia LP in a home game 100-96. Barrio Parque recorded a loss to Villa Angela on the road 79-67. Mitre Tuc. defeated BHY Tiro Federal on its own court 84-80. Obera TC was beaten by Salta Basket in a road game 84-73. Union SF lost to Hindu at home 73-89. Atenas Carmen managed to outperform La Union on the opponent's court 80-70. Villa San Martin was rolled over Barrio Parque in a home game 66-87. Olimpo BB was defeated by Gimnasia LP on the road 84-68. Temperley was beaten by Estudiantes O. on its own court 70-85. Rocamora lost to Alianza Viedma in Rio Negro 59-75.
The best stats of 29th round was 22 points and 11 rebounds by Darnell Dodson of Petr.Argentino.

Ciclista - Alianza Viedma 76-82

There was a minor upset in Juninense where second-ranked Ciclista (18-14) was defeated by second ranked Alianza Viedma (20-11) 82-76 on Sunday. Alianza Viedma made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion, agency: DTMones) who scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Pedro Franco (187-81) chipped in 18 points and 5 assists. Five Alianza Viedma players scored in double figures. American power forward Jeffrey Fahnbulleh (200-85) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Gerel Simmons (188-93, college: Lincoln Memorial) added 19 points respectively for the hosts. Alianza Viedma have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Ciclista keeps the second place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

There was a minor upset in Mercedes where second-ranked San Isidro (20-13) was rolled over by second ranked Comunicaciones (23-9) 71-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Comunicaciones led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding San Isidro to just 7 points in first quarter. The best player for the winners was forward Cristian Romero (190-79) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Jose De-Felippo chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Center Santiago Gonzalez (203-83) produced 7 points and 12 rebounds and Andres Landoni (202-90) added 5 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Comunicaciones maintains second place with 23-9 record having just one point less than leader Parque Sur which they share with defeated San Isidro. Loser San Isidro keeps the second position with 13 games lost. Comunicaciones will face Sportivo (#6) in Las Parejas in the next round.
