There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in TNA. The round was exceptionally exciting as five games ended with a tiny margin. The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Estudiantes O. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Estudiantes O. defeated 5th ranked Rocamora in Olavarria 84-79. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-12. But Rocamora won third quarter 22-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Estudiantes O. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Rodrigo Sanchez (200-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Italian center Emilio Dominguez (202-87) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Juan-Luis Abeiro (196-88) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds for Rocamora. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Estudiantes O. have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Rocamora lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 19 games lost.
Leading Union SF (23-11) recorded its eleventh loss in San Francisco. Visitors were defeated by second ranked San Isidro (21-14) 66-54. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. It was a great evening for center Santiago Gonzalez (203-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 21 rebounds. Martin Muller helped adding 14 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Patricio Tabarez (195-91) responded with 15 points. San Isidro maintains second place with 21-14 record having just five point less than leader Union SF. Union SF lost fourth consecutive game. They still keep top position with 11 games lost. San Isidro will play against Obera TC (#5) at home in the next round. Union SF will play against the league's second-placed Comunicaciones (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Fourth-ranked CA Platense (14-16) was very close to win a game against second ranked Parque Sur (19-15) in Concepcion de Urug. on Thursday. Parque Sur managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected easier game. It was an exceptional evening for Guido Mariani who led the winners and scored 21 points. Keith Gayden came up with 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for CA Platense in the defeat. Parque Sur maintains second place with 19-15 record having just two point less than leader Union SF. CA Platense lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 16 games lost.
A very interesting game took place in Rio Negro. It ended with only two-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Alianza Viedma (21-12) to third ranked Huracan (19-12) 87-85 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Alianza Viedma. Jerome Hill fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Huracan have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 19-12 record having just one point less than leader Union SF. Alianza Viedma at the other side keeps the second position with 12 games lost.
Important game to mention about took place in Temperley. Third ranked CA Temperley (16-17) saved a 3-point victory at home edging their biggest opponent Parque Sur (19-15) 87-84 on Monday evening. It was a very good performance for Sebastian Chaine who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Newly promoted CA Temperley maintains third place with 16-17 record having two points less than leader Union SF. Loser Parque Sur keeps the second position with 15 games lost.

Other games in round 31 were not that significant. Temperley was beaten by Gimnasia LP on the road 76-63. Mitre Tuc. lost to Villa Angela on its own court 79-82. Obera TC was outscored by BHY Tiro Federal in Morteros 67-93. Salta Basket managed to beat Villa San Martin at home 87-86. Barrio Parque was defeated by Comunicaciones on the opponent's court 79-69. Alianza Viedma beat La Union in a home game 79-71. Salta Basket was destroyed by Villa Angela on the road 94-68. Obera TC unfortunately lost to Barrio Parque on its own court 64-81. Rocamora recorded a loss to Ciclista in Juninense 66-81. Huracan defeated Olimpo BB at home 82-68. La Union was beaten by Atenas Carmen on the opponent's court 99-88. Obera TC destroyed SP Las Parejas in a home game 105-75. Independiente BBC was outscored by Villa Angela on the road 99-77. Hindu recorded a loss to Salta Basket on its own court 72-79.

Parque Sur - Platense 80-78

Fourth-ranked CA Platense (14-16) was very close to win a game against second ranked Parque Sur (19-15) in Concepcion de Urug. on Thursday. Parque Sur managed to secure only two-point victory 80-78. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 21-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Parque Sur made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 CA Platense turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Guido Mariani (193-94) who led the winners and scored 21 points. Pablo Alderete (196-93) accounted for 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Parque Sur players scored in double figures. American forward Keith Gayden (202-83, college: Duquesne) came up with 37 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Puerto Rican forward Kevin Young (203-90, college: Kansas, agency: SDJ Sports) added 17 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for CA Platense in the defeat. Parque Sur maintains second place with 19-15 record having just two point less than leader Union SF. CA Platense lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with 16 games lost.

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Gimnasia LP (12-20) beat 3rd placed CA Temperley (16-17) in La Plata 76-63 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-63. Gimnasia LP outrebounded CA Temperley 41-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for point guard Leonardo La-Bella (180-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists. American forward Joe Efese (198, college: Cent.Conn.St.) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Gimnasia LP players scored in double figures. Gimnasia LP's coach Cesar Adriani used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Martin Trimboli (196-85) answered with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Leopoldo Ibanez-Paz (192-89) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for CA Temperley. Gimnasia LP maintains sixth place with 12-20 record. Newly promoted CA Temperley keeps the third position with 17 games lost.

Very expected game when 7th ranked Mitre Tuc. (10-24) was edged by third ranked Villa Angela (23-12) in Tucuman 82-79 on Thursday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-15. But Mitre Tuc. won second period 20-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Villa Angela made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Villa Angela especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. It was a very good performance for American forward Nate Carter (200-83, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!). Naturalized Italian forward Mariano Garcia (201-86) contributed with 18 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. American forward Tirrell Brown (198-93, college: Ouachita Baptist) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and guard Jose Muruaga (188-84) added 23 points in the effort for Mitre Tuc.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Villa Angela have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain third place with 23-12 record having just seven point less than leader Union SF. Mitre Tuc. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with 24 games lost. Villa Angela will face Salta Basket (#4) on the road in the next round. Mitre Tuc. will play against Salta Basket and hope to win that game.

BHY Tiro Federal looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Obera TC's players. It was a very good performance for naturalized American power forward Phillip Lockett (202-88, agency: DTMones) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Emiliano Correa (189-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five BHY Tiro Federal players scored in double figures. Loser Obera TC keeps the fifth position with 22 games lost. BHY Tiro Federal will face Sportivo (#6) in Las Parejas in the next round. Obera TC will play on the road against the league's second-placed San Isidro in San Francisco and hope to win that game.
