The round was rather attractive and full of interesting results. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.

The biggest surprise took place in Trelew where host Huracan (20-16) beat league's leader Alianza Viedma (23-13) 81-76 on Thursday evening. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The best player for the winners was guard Lisandro Ruiz-Moreno (183-89) who scored 21 points and 9 assists. American forward Jerome Hill (198-94, college: Gardner-Webb) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-American power forward Lotanna Nwogbo (203-93, college: Longwood) who recorded a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Huracan moved-up to second place, which they share with Ciclista and Olimpo BB. Alianza Viedma at the other side still keeps top position with 13 games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Parque Sur who have the same record.

Estudiantes O. defeated 6th ranked Gimnasia LP in Olavarria 92-87. It was a good game for guard Leandro Portillo (185-85) who led his team to a victory with 28 points. Rodrigo Sanchez contributed with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winners. Forward Maximiliano Segon (200-91) answered with 23 points and 6 rebounds for Gimnasia LP. Gimnasia LP's coach Cesar Adriani rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Alianza Viedma. Gimnasia LP at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 23 games lost. They share the position with Obera TC and Villa San Martin.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Olimpo (20-16) against sixth ranked Petr.Argentino (14-22) on Thursday night. Visiting Olimpo was defeated by Petr.Argentino in a tough game in Plaza Huincul 82-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Olimpo. Darnell Dodson stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The best for the losing side was Thomas Granado with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field). Petr.Argentino have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 14-22 record. Loser Olimpo dropped to the second position with 16 games lost. They share it with Ciclista and Huracan.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Temperley. Third ranked CA Temperley faced second-best Ciclista. Host CA Temperley (19-17) defeated guests from Juninense (20-16) 79-69. Martin Trimboli nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Newly promoted CA Temperley maintains third place with 19-17 record having four points less than leader Parque Sur, which they share with Barrio Parque and Salta Basket. Ciclista at the other side keeps the second position with 16 games lost.

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Olimpo (20-16) against sixth ranked Petr.Argentino (14-22) on Thursday night. Visiting Olimpo was defeated by Petr.Argentino in a tough game in Plaza Huincul 82-89. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Olimpo. Petr.Argentino made 31-of-34 free shots (91.2 percent) during the game, while Olimpo only scored seven points from the stripe. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Florida where 4th placed CA Platense (17-19) was defeated by fifth ranked Rocamora (17-19) 74-68 on Thursday. Rocamora made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Juan-Luis Abeiro (196-88) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Center Matias Novello (198-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Rocamora players scored in double figures. Rocamora's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Gimnasia LP was better in third quarter 26-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Olimpo dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Gimnasia LP's 38 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Gimnasia LP 47-34 including 17 on the offensive glass.
