The games are now more important than at the beginning of the Regular Season. We may still expect few shocking results in upcoming 8 rounds. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader, derby games, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked San Martin Corrientes (31-12) in Buenos Aires on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by tenth ranked Boca Juniors (14-32) 88-86. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 31-20. But San Martin Corrientes won second period 27-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international Carlos Delfino (198-82) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lucas Gargallo (196-95) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists during the contest. Boca Juniors' coach Ronaldo Cordoba used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was international Leonardo Mainoldi (203-85) with 18 points. Boca Juniors maintains tenth position with 14-32 record. San Martin Corrientes at the other side still keeps top place with 12 games lost. Penarol's coach Marcelo Richotti allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 9 points and 13 rebounds by the former international forward Pablo Espinoza (200-87) did not help to save the game for Regatas Corrientes. Penarol maintains eighth position with 18-30 record.
