We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (193-90, currently plays in Spain). He led Baskonia to a victory against the 15th-ranked Sevilla (8-18) 79-75 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Sunday night's game. Laprovittola scored 11 points in only a mere 10 minutes on the court. Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz (18-8) is placed fifth in the Liga Endesa. This year Laprovittola averages: 5.0ppg, 1.2rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 27.3%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 88.2% in nine games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international swingman Nicolas Brussino (202-93, currently plays in NBA). He could not help the Dallas Mavericks (32-48) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Brussino's good performance the Dallas Mavericks (32-48) were defeated 98-87 on the road by the Sacramento Kings. He was the top scorer with 13 points. Brussino also added 7 rebounds and dished 5 assists. There are only two games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Brussino's overall stats this season are: 2.7ppg, 1.8rpg, 2FGP: 48.9%, 3FGP: 28.9% and FT: 73.7%. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain). Campazzo was not able to help one of league's weakest teams UCAM Murcia (10-16) in their last game. Despite his good performance UCAM Murcia was crushed 109-84 in Madrid by the higher-ranked (#11) Movil Estudiantes. Campazzo recorded 10 points and added 8 passes in 28 minutes. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. Campazzo has relatively good stats this year: 14.0ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.8apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 29.6% and FT: 81.4% in 25 games. He is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

An experienced small forward Andres Nocioni (203-79, currently plays in Euroleague) managed to help Real Madrid to win against the sixth-ranked Anadolu Efes (17-13) 97-80 in the Euroleague on Friday night. Nocioni scored 5 points. Real Madrid (23-7) is placed first in the Euroleague. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. They will play only one more game in the Euroleague Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. This season Nocioni averages only 2.5ppg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Nocioni is also Argentinian national team player.

Former international forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Austria) was not able to secure a victory for Arkadia Lions (14-14) in their game against Vienna (16-13) in the Austrian A Bundesliga, despite his very good performance in Monday night's game. He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 16 rebounds. Vay also added 3 assists in 40 minutes. But Arkadia Lions lost 59-66 in Wien to the higher-ranked (#4) Vienna. It's Vay's fourth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Vay averages: 18.5ppg, 8.3rpg, 3.4apg and 1.2spg in 26 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian. Vay used to play for the Argentinian national team eight years ago.

Point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Denmark) couldn't help Svendborg (13-15) in their game against Bakken (24-4) in the Danish Ligaen, despite his very good performance last Thursday. He was the top scorer with 21 points. Porta also added 6 rebounds and 3 assists (made all of his five free throws) in 31 minutes. But Svendborg was badly defeated 95-79 in Aarhus by the leading Bakken. It was Svendborg's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Porta has relatively solid stats: 10.9ppg, 1.9rpg and 3.8apg in 29 games. He is a former international player as he played for the Argentinian senior team nine years ago.

   #7. International guard Manu Ginobili (198-77, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in NBA) couldn't help the San Antonio Spurs (61-19) in their game against the Los Angeles Clippers (49-31) in the NBA. Ginobili cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. The San Antonio Spurs (61-19) were defeated 98-87 in Los Angeles by the Clippers. There are only two games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. Ginobili is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his 15th year in Spurs' roster. Ginobili has reliable stats this season: 7.5ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.2spg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

   #8. Center Marcos Delia (211-92, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Facundo Campazzo and both played together in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game. Delia couldn't help one of league's weakest teams UCAM Murcia (10-16) in their game against Movil Estudiantes (11-16). He recorded only 4 points. UCAM Murcia was crushed 109-84 in Madrid by the higher-ranked Movil Estudiantes (#11). It's Delia's first season with the team. Delia's overall stats this year are: 5.9ppg and 3.1rpg. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

Former international guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the ninth-ranked Palma (17-14) crushing them 88-62 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Saturday. Fernandez recorded 10 points and added 3 assists. Cafes Candelas Breogan Lugo (22-9) is placed second in the LEB Gold. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Fernandez's overall stats this season are: 9.1ppg, 1.7rpg and 3.0apg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team three years ago.

Small forward Juan Manuel Caceres (199-84, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Valmontone (21-7) in their game against Napoli Cuore (25-4) in the Italian Serie B (third division). Despite his good performance last Sunday Caceres recorded 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Caceres' overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.5apg. He is a former U16 international player as fifteen years ago he still played for the Argentinian national team.

   #1. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) could not help one of league's weakest teams Umana Venezia (17-9) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Filloy's good performance Umana Venezia was defeated 88-80 on the road by the leading Armani Milano. He scored 11 points. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Filloy's first season with the team. Filloy's overall stats this year are: 7.0ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.7apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Despite Filloy's Argentinian passport, he previously played for the Italian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Argentinian team.

   #2. Daniel Hure (200-PF-85, currently plays in Brazil) was not able to help Paulistano (11-7) in their last game. Despite Hure's good performance Paulistano was edged 87-84 in Aldeota by the much lower-ranked (#11) SKY/Basquete. He recorded 12 points in 21 minutes. This year Hure's overall stats are: 8.7ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.2apg in 23 games he played so far.

   #3. Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the league leader Armani Milano (21-5) crushing them 98-76 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He recorded 8 points. Dolomiti Energia Trento (15-11) is placed fifth in the Serie A. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Forray has been at the team for six years. Forray's overall stats this season are: 5.8ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.8apg and 1.4spg. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #4. Experienced Santiago Boffelli (197-G/F-83, currently plays in Italy) led Scauri to a 2-point victory over the 14th-ranked Roma S.Azzurra (6-22) 68-66 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night. Boffelli was MVP of the game. He scored 30 points (!!!) and grabbed 8 rebounds in 37 minutes. Basket Scauri (13-14) is placed tenth in Group C. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. Boffelli has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.6ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg in 26 games. Boffelli has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #5. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) led FCM Ferentino to a victory over the 16th-ranked Agropoli (7-21) crushing them 86-56 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Musso recorded 21 points and added 4 passes. FMC Ferentino (12-16) is placed 13th in West group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. It's Musso's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 13.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 3.0apg and 1.4spg. Similarly like Boffelli and Forray above Musso also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #6. Tulio Cobos (197-F-86, college: Northeastern St., currently plays in Venezuela) was not able to secure a victory for Bucaneros in their game against Gaiteros in the Venezuelan LPB. Cobos scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 82-64. Cobos has reliable stats this season: 12.1ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.2apg.

   #7. Demian Filloy (198-F-82, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Lighthouse TR (14-14) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the eighth-placed Lighthouse TR lost 71-85 in Siena to the lower-ranked (#12) Mens Sana 1871 in the West group. Filloy was the second best scorer with 18 points in 27 minutes. This year Filloy's overall stats are: 6.3ppg, 3.7rpg and 1.8apg in 27 games. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #8. Damian Palacios (177-PG-85, currently plays in Brazil) contributed to a CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro's victory against the closely-ranked Pinheiros 85-80 in the Brazilian NBB on Friday night. Palacios scored 6 points in 20 minutes. This year his overall stats are: 3.9ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.8apg in 31 games.

   #9. Agustin Fabi (199-F/G-91, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Viola RC in their last game. Despite Fabi's very good performance the tenth-placed Viola RC was badly defeated 89-73 in Trapani by the higher-ranked (#8) Lighthouse TR in the West group. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds in 38 minutes. Fabi averaged so far 12.1ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg in 27 games. He holds both Argentinian and Italian passports.

   #10. Juan Sutina (192-G-90, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help one of league's weakest teams Lleida Basquet (16-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Sutina's very good performance Lleida Basquet was defeated 92-82 in S'Arenal by the higher-ranked Palma (#9). He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Sutina also added 4 rebounds. His overall stats this season are: 7.1ppg and 1.7rpg.

Pallacanestro Alma Trieste (Serie A2) tabbed 27-year old former Argentinian international guard Juan Fernandez (193-88kg-90, college: Temple). He played most recently at Breogan in Spanish LEB Gold. In 42 games he averaged 9.0ppg, 1.6rpg and 2.8apg last season. Fernandez helped them to make it to the semifinals. Gimnasia-Indalo Esgr.Comodoro Rivadavia (LigaA) tabbed Ecuadorian international swingman Luis Riascos (193). He played in the summer at Halcones in Colombian Liga DirecTV. Riascos also represented Ecuador at the South American Championships in Caracas (Venezuela) last year. His stats at that event were 3 games: 2.3ppg, 1.0rpg.
