We bring you last week's top performances from Argentinians who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced international small forward Andres Nocioni (203-79, currently plays in Spain). He led Real Madrid to a victory over one of league's weakest teams Sevilla (8-19) 87-76 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Saturday night's game. Nocioni was MVP of the game. He scored 26 points (!!!) in 27 minutes on the court. Real Madrid (20-7) is placed first in the Liga Endesa. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. This year Nocioni averages: 6.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 2FGP: 42.5%, 3FGP: 48.3%(28-58) and FT: 69.2% in 21 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Ex-Penarol Mar del Plata player is currently a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international point guard Facundo Campazzo (181-91, currently plays in Spain). Campazzo was the main contributor in an UCAM Murcia's victory against the closely-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (11-16) crushing them 99-62 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He was the best player in that game. Campazzo scored 18 points and added 6 assists in 23 minutes. Universidad Catolica de Murcia CB (11-16) is placed 11th in the Liga Endesa. Campazzo has relatively good stats this year: 14.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 5.8apg, 1.8spg, 2FGP: 49.3%, 3FGP: 30.2% and FT: 81.3% in 26 games. He is in the roster of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #3. The Argentinian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international swingman Nicolas Brussino (202-93, currently plays in NBA). Brussino contributed to a Dallas Mavericks' victory against the Memphis Grizzlies (43-39) 100-93 in the NBA in Wednesday night's game. He was the top player that evening. Brussino scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. The Dallas Mavericks have 33-49 record this season. They ended the series of five consecutive loses. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. Brussino's overall stats this season are: 3.0ppg, 1.9rpg, 3FGP: 30.5% and FT: 77.3%. He is also a member of the Argentinian senior national team.

   #4. Forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Austria) could not help Arkadia Lions (14-15) in their last game. Despite Vay's very good performance Arkadia Lions lost 70-79 on the road to the leading Redwell Gunners Oberwart. He had a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 14 rebounds. Vay also added 3 assists and 2 blocks (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) in 40 minutes. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Vay's fourth season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Vay averages: 18.9ppg, 8.6rpg, 3.4apg and 1.2spg in 27 games. He is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian. Vay used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2009.

International point guard Nicolas Laprovittola (193-90, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz in a victory against the closely-ranked Gran Canaria (18-10) 95-90 in the Spanish Liga Endesa in Friday night's game. He scored 5 points in 6 minutes. Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz (19-8) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. This year Laprovittola's overall stats are: 5.0ppg, 1.2rpg and 3.1apg in 10 games. He plays currently for the Argentinian national team.

   #6. Guard Manu Ginobili (198-77, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in NBA) was not able to help the San Antonio Spurs (61-21) in their last game. Despite his good performance the San Antonio Spurs (61-21) were edged 99-98 in Portland by the Trail Blazers. Ginobili scored 11 points in a mere 16 minutes. It was Spurs' third consecutive loss in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the NBA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Ginobili is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his 15th year in Spurs' roster. This season he has relatively solid stats: 7.4ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg in 70 games. Ginobili is an international player who is currently on the senior Argentinian National Team roster.

   #7. International center Marcos Delia (211-92, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Facundo Campazzo and both played together in the last Spanish Liga Endesa game. Delia helped UCAM Murcia win their game against the closely-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (11-16) crushing them 99-62. He scored 8 points. Delia's total stats this season are: 6.0ppg and 3.1rpg. He is also Argentinian national team player.

Point guard Antonio Porta (187-83, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to secure a victory for Svendborg (13-15) in their game against Bakken (24-4) in the Danish Ligaen. Despite his very good performance last Monday He was the second best scorer with 14 points. Porta also added 5 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Porta has reliable stats this season: 11.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.8apg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the Argentinian national team back in 2008.

Former international guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Leche Rio Breogan (22-10) in their game against Araberri (14-18) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Fernandez cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points in 18 minutes. Leche Rio Breogan was edged 86-84 in Vitoria-Gasteiz by the much lower-ranked (#11) Araberri. It was Leche Rio Breogan's first loss after five consecutive victories. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. It's Fernandez's first season with the team. This year Fernandez's total stats are: 8.8ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.9apg in 32 games. He used to play for the Argentinian national team three years ago.

   #10. Small forward Juan Manuel Caceres (199-84, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Valmontone (21-8) in their game against Napoli Cuore (26-4) in the Italian Serie B (third division), despite his good performance in Sunday night's game. Caceres recorded 12 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in 32 minutes. But the fourth-placed Valmontone (21-8) lost 73-80 at home to the leading Napoli Cuore in the Group C. It was Valmontone's third consecutive loss in a row. His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. Caceres has averaged so far 9.4ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.5apg in 24 games. He is a former U16 international player as fifteen years ago he still played for the Argentinian national team.


The list of other players, who all have Argentinian passport but never been selected to any of Argentinian national teams:

   #1. Ariel Filloy (189-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) led Umana Venezia to a victory against the 11th-ranked Brescia (12-15) 84-79 in the Italian Serie A last Saturday. Filloy scored 12 points. Umana Reyer Venezia (18-9) is placed second in the Serie A. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Filloy's overall stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 1.8rpg and 2.6apg. He has a dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian. Despite Filloy's Argentinian passport, he previously played for the Italian U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Argentinian team.

   #2. Tulio Cobos (197-F-86, college: Northeastern St., currently plays in Venezuela) contributed to a 1-point Bucaneros' victory against the fifth-ranked Panteras (5-15) 93-92 in the Venezuelan LPB on Wednesday night. He scored 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Bucaneros de La Guaira (12-8) is placed second in Eastern Conference. This season Cobos has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.4apg.

   #3. Daniel Hure (200-PF-85, currently plays in Brazil) could not help Paulistano (11-7) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Hure's good performance Paulistano was defeated 85-81 at home by the much lower-ranked SKY/Basquete (#11). He scored 10 points. Hure's total stats this season are: 8.5ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.2apg.

   #4. Bernardo Musso (193-G-86, also represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) led FCM Ferentino to a victory over the 16th-ranked Agropoli (7-22) crushing them 86-56 in the Italian Serie A2 (second division) last Sunday. Musso was the top player that evening. He recorded 21 points and added 4 passes in 32 minutes. FMC Ferentino (12-17) is placed 13th in West group. Musso's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. It's Musso's first season with the team. He has reliable stats this year: 13.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3spg in 29 games he played so far. Musso is another player who holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #5. Andres Forray (187-PG-86, currently plays in Italy) was not able to help Dolomiti En. TR in their game against Openjobmetis VA (12-15) in the Italian Serie A. He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Dolomiti En. TR was edged 83-80 on the road by the lower-ranked Openjobmetis VA (#12). There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. Forray has been at the team for six years. Forray's total stats this season are: 5.9ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.7apg and 1.3spg. He has both Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #6. Experienced Santiago Boffelli (197-G/F-83, currently plays in Italy) was the main contributor in Scauri's victory against the 16th-ranked Maddaloni 82-65 in the Italian Serie B (third division) in Sunday night's game. Boffelli was the top player that evening. He recorded 31 points (!!!) in 39 minutes. Boffelli has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.4ppg, 5.3rpg, 1.3apg and 1.3spg in 27 games. Similarly like Forray and Musso above Boffelli also holds two passports: Argentinian and Italian.

   #7. Agustin Fabi (199-F/G-91, currently plays in Italy) was not able to secure a victory for Viola RC in their last game. Despite Fabi's very good performance the tenth-placed Viola RC was badly defeated 89-73 in Trapani by the lower-ranked (#10) Lighthouse TR in the West group. He had a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 10 rebounds in 38 minutes. Fabi's stats this year are: 12.2ppg, 4.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg in 28 games. Similarly like three previous players above, he has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

   #8. Dante Richotti (180-PG-85, currently plays in Italy) is a teammate of previously mentioned Santiago Boffelli and both played together in the last Italian Serie B game. Richotti was the major contributor in Scauri's victory against the 16th-ranked Maddaloni 82-65. He recorded 20 points. Richotti's total stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 3.5rpg, 4.4apg and 1.6spg. He has dual citizenship: Argentinian and Italian.

   #9. Damian Palacios (177-PG-85, currently plays in Brazil) managed to help CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro in a victory against the closely-ranked Pinheiros 79-73 in the Brazilian NBB last Saturday. Palacios recorded only 3 points in 10 minutes. This year Palacios' total stats are: 3.9ppg, 1.8rpg and 1.8apg in 32 games.

   #10. Demian Filloy (198-F-82, another player represented by Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Lighthouse TR in their game against Agrigento in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). He scored 7 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. His team was defeated 76-72. Filloy's total stats this season are: 6.3ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.8apg. He has Argentinian and Italian nationalities.

Maccabi Hunter Haifa (Winner League) inked 33-year old American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-116kg-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Pro Sports). He played recently at Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos in Argentinian LigaA, but left the team last month. In 34 games he averaged 10.6ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3apg this season.
