MBK SPU Nitra (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old Bahamas ex-international swingman Quentin Demeritte (196-93kg-82, college: Five Towns). The last time (13-14) he played at Besa in Kosovan D3 league. Demeritte missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.
Demeritte's team made it to the Peruvian Superior League Semifinals in 2011.
He was also a member of Bahamas international program for some years. Demeritte played for Bahamas Senior National Team between 2006 and 2009 and previously for U18 National Team back in 2001.
He also represented Bahamas at the CBC Championships in Tortilla (BVI) seven years ago. His stats at that event were 5 games: 2.0ppg.
Demeritte is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Brazil (Flamengo), Mexico (Jaguares), Peru (EOFap) and IBL (Yamhill H. and Orlando V.).
Demeritte attended Five Towns College until 2005 and it will be his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
