Salathiel
Dean
Salathiel Dean had a great game in the last round for Shockers, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 4.
The player had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Cybots (3-2) with 35-point margin 113-78. Shockers is placed at 5th position in Bahamas NPBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Shockers will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. Dean has many years of experience at Shockers, through which he has constantly improved. Salathiel Dean has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.3ppg), rebounds (7th best: 10.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.3bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old Livingston Munnings (C) of Cybots. Munnings had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Cybots lost that game 78-113 to slightly higher-ranked Shockers (3-2). This loss caused Cybots to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Munnings is a newcomer at Cybots, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international guard Michael Bain (SG) of league's top team Giants. Bain scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds. Despite Bain's great performance Giants lost 88-98 to #4 ranked Stingers. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Giants had another "accident". It may be a crucial game and cause dropping from the group of top ranked teams. The record is still good, but 1st lost game is hopefully really an accident. Bain's teammates are also very good. That's why having such high stats is even more impressive. Bain has a great season in Bahamas. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.3ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 6.3rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.3apg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. David Taylor) of Giants - 26 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Anthony Williams) of Rebels - 10 points and 20 rebounds
6. Domonique Fernander) of Pirates - 18 points and 9 rebounds
7. Anthony Williams) of Rebels - 12 points and 15 rebounds
8. Rashad Morley (198-F) of Rockets - 13 points and 12 rebounds
9. Corey Williams) of Rockets - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
10. Chico Francis) of Pros - 9 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
