Salathiel Dean was one of three players in double figures, scoring 27 points on 9-for-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line in 22 minutes and 13 seconds to help the Real Deal secure the win. Dean also had 12 rebounds, three assists, three steals and two block shots. Vernal Johnson chipped in with 16 points off the bench and William Rigby had 10 points and eight rebounds. Kamal Murphy also came of the bench and netted nine points with three rebounds and four turnovers. Lamont Armaly (with right assists), Jackson Dalmon (12 rebounds), Floyd Armbrister (five rebounds), Ishad Cornish and Diangelo Woodside (eight rebounds) all scored four points. Kemsy Sylvester, in matching Dean's game high 27 points on 10-for-18 from the field and 7-for-13 from the free throw line, led the University of the Bahamas in 39:15 minutes. Justin Smith was held to 12 points with five rebounds, three assists, three steals and six turnovers; Jason Stubbs (188-PG-86, college: Simpson, CA) had seven points and Brian Jennings added five points and seven rebounds. The win pushed the Real Deal's second place record to 7-3 behind the University of the Bahamas, who dropped to 5-1. The Caribs were coming of their 72-60 win over Trinity College in their final game of their recent trip to Tampa, Florida after they lost their first two games in the tournament to Florida College and Georgia Northwestern Tech.
