Eugene Bain
Devon Ferguson put on an amazing game in the last round for Stingers and receives a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 19 points adding eight rebounds and five assists for Stingers in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Cleaners (#11, 1-7) 108-105. Stingers is placed at 3rd position in Bahamas league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Stingers will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. Ferguson has many years of experience at Stingers, through which he has constantly improved. Devon Ferguson averages this season 14.5ppg and 7.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Herbert Knowles of Cleaners. He is a in his first season at Cleaners. In the last game Knowles recorded impressive triple-double of 33 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Bad luck as Cleaners was edged by the higher-ranked Stingers (#3, 8-4) 108-105. Cleaners is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Cleaners managed to get this year. Knowles is a newcomer at Cleaners and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Domonique Fernander of Pirates (#8). Fernander showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, sixteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. Despite Fernander's great performance Pirates lost 82-89 to the higher-ranked Regulators (#1, 11-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Pirates not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Fernander could try to bring Pirates' a little bit higher in the standings. Fernander has individually a great season in Bahamas. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.3rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gameliel Rose) of Regulators - 26 points and 8 rebounds
5. Eugene Bain (195-C/F-88) of Regulators - 24 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Eugene Bain (195-C/F-88) of Regulators - 18 points, 18 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Kemsy Sylvestre) of Bahamas Univ. - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Michael Bain (SG) of Giants - 22 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Rashad Woodside) of Cleaners - 31 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Justin Smith) of Bahamas Univ. - 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
