Salathiel
Dean
American Domonique Fernander put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Pirates, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.
The player had a double-double of 25 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Rebels (#12, 1-12) 93-89. Pirates maintains the 8th position in Bahamas NPBA. Pirates is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-8 record. Fernander turned to be Pirates' top player in his first season with the team. Former Hobart College star has very solid stats this year. Fernander is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 12.1rpg) and averages impressive 51.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was -year old Salathiel Dean of Shockers. Dean had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Shockers lost that game 78-83 to Cybots (9-5). Shockers managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. His team's 9-5 record is not bad at all. Dean is one of the most experienced players at Shockers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.5ppg (#7). He also registered 10.2 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was guard Rashard Williams (183-PG) of Rebels (#12). Williams scored 26 points and passed six assists. Despite Williams' great performance Rebels lost 89-93 to the higher-ranked Pirates (#8, 6-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Rebels can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Williams he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Williams has individually a great season in Bahamas. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 4.1rpg (7th best) and assists with 6.1apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Livingston Munnings (C) of Cybots - 16 points and 15 rebounds
5. Livingston Munnings (C) of Cybots - 25 points and 8 rebounds
6. Herbert Knowles) of Cleaners - 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Ernest Saunders (188-G) of Cybots - 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Ishad Cornish) of Shockers - 14 points and 15 rebounds
9. Rashad Woodside) of Cleaners - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
