  follow us on Facebook Twitter

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Bahamians who are currently playing abroad.

Buddy Hield
Buddy Hield
#1. This week's number one is former international guard Buddy Hield (193-93, college: Oklahoma, currently plays in NBA). He led Sacramento Kings to a victory over the Phoenix Suns (24-58) crushing them 129-104 in the NBA in Tuesday night's game. Hield was MVP of the game. He recorded 30 points (!!!) and grabbed 6 rebounds in 33 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Hield's third season in pro basketball. The Sacramento Kings have 32-50 record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. Hield has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.1ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 52.5%, 3FGP: 42.8% and FT: 81.4% in 25 games he played so far. Hield played for the Bahamas senior national team three years ago.

David Nesbitt
David Nesbitt
#2. Second place goes to an international forward David Nesbitt (200-91, college: St.Thomas, FL, currently plays in Argentina). He contributed to a 1-point Olimpico de La Banda's victory against the sixth-ranked Quimsa (24-26) 89-88 in the Argentinian LigaA last Saturday. Nesbitt scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Ciclista Olimpico de La Bandais placed in Norte group. Nesbitt's overall stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 2FGP: 49.6%, 3FGP: 28.9% and FT: 81.3%.
