Akeem Marsh
Akeem Marsh (206-F/C-87) is enjoying quite the off-season haul. Basketball's big man has himself another major award, having been named the Premier League Most Valuable Player (MVP) yet again at Wednesday's awards ceremony at Co-operators General Insurance's Collymore Rock headquarters. It was the biggest news coming out of an official press launch for the 2017 Co-operators General Insurance Premier League season. Helping hometown team Urban Vybz St John's Sonics return to the playoffs, Marsh predictably won his third league MVP trophy after leading the league in scoring (22.6 ppg) and becoming the only player to finish in the top ten in points, rebounds (12.6), blocks (0.8) and steals (2.8) last season.
