Important game to mention about took place in Buenos Aires. Ninth ranked Ferro (7-14) saved a 2-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Gimnasia (13-7) 76-74 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. Ferro shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 63.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Tomas Spano (183-98) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. Swingman Valentin Bettiga (189-99) contributed with 5 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international Sebastian Vega (200-88) answered with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Jonatan Treise (185-85) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Gimnasia. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ferro maintains ninth place with 7-14 record. Gimnasia at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Ferro will play against higher ranked Penarol (#8) in Mar del Plata in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gimnasia will play at home against the league's leader Obras (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
