Regular Season Round 6: Salta Basket - San Isidro 80-74

Salta Basket has finally registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked San Isidro (1-2) 80-74. San Isidro was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Swingman Cristian Cardo (198-99) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Nicolas Zurschmitten (183-95) supported him with 23 points. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by Federico Zezular (198-1) did not help to save the game for San Isidro. Power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-97) added 13 points and 14 rebounds. San Isidro's coach Sebastian Torre rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Salta Basket (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place, which they share with Echague. San Isidro at the other side keeps the ninth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Salta Basket will play against higher ranked Estudiantes T. (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. San Isidro will play against Dep Norte where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
