Bottom-ranked Espanola (0-5) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fifth consecutive match to eighth ranked Los Indios (2-3) 62-58 on Saturday evening. Los Indios forced 19 Espanola turnovers and outrebounded them 49-38 including 36 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Azul Velasco who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Nadia Flores (171-90) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Four Los Indios players scored in double figures. Ayelen Boujon produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Martina Rodriguez (162-97) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Los Indios moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ferro. Espanola lost their fifth game in a row. They still close the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Corrientes. Los Indios will meet at home higher ranked Berazategui (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Espanola will play against Corrientes (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
