LaLiga top team - Velez (5-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Corrientes (0-5) in Sarsfield 60-56. They outrebounded Corrientes 46-35 including 33 on the defensive glass. Velez brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Ornella Bachini nailed 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Colombian forward Alejandra Alonso (174-92) accounted for 8 points and 7 rebounds. Velez's coach Gabriel Gusso allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game.
