The game in supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Halcones (2-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Coeindeguasa (1-4). Halcones smashed Coeindeguasa 87-56 on Friday. Halcones forced 24 Coeindeguasa turnovers. Point guard David Monterroso (180-79) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds for the winners and Mario Reyes (-1) chipped in 32 points and 7 rebounds. Yordic Velasques (-94) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Joaquin Carranza scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Halcones maintains fourth place with 2-1 record. Loser Coeindeguasa keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Halcones will meet at home league's second-placed Olmeca in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Coeindeguasa will have a break next round.
