Regular Season Round 9: Tiro Federal - Riachuelo LR 77-80

A very interesting game took place in Morteros. It ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Tiro Federal (4-2) to fifteenth ranked Riachuelo LR (1-5) 80-77 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tiro Federal. It was a good game for point guard Joaquin Baeza (182-86) who led his team to a victory with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Thiago Dasso (185-0) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Naturalized Italian Juan Kelly (189-88) answered with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Jonatan Basualdo (198-99) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Tiro Federal. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Riachuelo LR left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Echague. Tiro Federal at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Riachuelo LR's next round opponent will be higher ranked Olimpico (#8) in Ceres and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tiro Federal will play against Estudiantes T. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
