Regular Season Round 9: Lanus - Rocamora 63-62

There was a minor upset in Buenos Aires where higher ranked Rocamora (2-3) was edged by twelfth ranked Lanus (2-3) 63-62 on Thursday. Strangely Rocamora outrebounded Lanus 43-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Rocamora was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Martin Franchino (201-93) stepped up and scored 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Andres Mariani (190-87) chipped in 16 points. Lanus' coach Leonardo Costa used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was power forward Sebastian Bernasconi (203-86) with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and Juan Cognigni scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Lanus moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Rocamora and Salta Basket. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
