Rather expected game when 15th ranked Campo Mourao (5-20) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Caxias do Sul (8-19) 89-73. Caxias do Sul outrebounded Campo Mourao 43-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Eddy Carvalho (197-87) nailed 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and the former international power forward Shilton Santos (198-82) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds.
