Regular Season Round 12: Union SF - San Isidro 91-86
Date: March 14, 2021
Very expected game in Santa Fe where 11th ranked San Isidro (2-4) was defeated by third ranked Union SF (6-2) 91-86 on Sunday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Union SF looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Erbel De Pietro (185-88) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 assists and swingman Matias Borsatti (189-97, agency: BIG) who added 18 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Nicolas Solari (166-90) with 13 points and 8 assists and power forward Juan Cruz Oberto (200-97) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four San Isidro players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Union SF keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Estudiantes T. Loser San Isidro dropped to the twelfth place with four games lost. Union SF will face Barrio Parque (#5) in Cordoba in the next round. San Isidro will play at home against Echague (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
