The game in Puerto Vallarta was also quite interesting. Aztks played at the court of Marineras. Aztks defeated Marineras 84-69 on Sunday. Aztks dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Marineras' 22. Aztks forced 20 Marineras turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-93, college: Louisville) who scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. Cuban center Yayma Boulet (193-84) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Argentinian guard Candela Foresto (163-99) produced 21 points and 6 assists and Argentinian Julia Centurion added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Marineras players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aztks' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ciudad de Mexico to the arena Quetzales.
