Round 5 most important game was a victory of GUG over 5th ranked Plaza 103-97 on Sunday night. GUG forced 19 Plaza turnovers. Strangely Plaza outrebounded GUG 44-31 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Plaza's players. Forward Juan Guerrero (205-93, agency: BMS Sport Agency) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds. American Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas) contributed with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guard Oliver Garcia (188-96) answered with 26 points and American forward Cornelius Hudson (200-93, college: Wake Forest) added 20 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Plaza. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion (2-2) moved-up to third place, which they share with CPN. Plaza at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost.
