Regular Season Round 5: Penarol - Aguada 90-98

Another exciting game was again a derby match of two teams from Montevideo: Aguada (#6) and Penarol (#11). Penarol was defeated at home 90-98 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Aguada made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Naturalized Italian Leandro Morales (186-80, college: Texas A&M, agency: Pro Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 36 points (!!!), 5 assists and 4 steals. American power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Puerto Rican swingman David Huertas (196-87, college: Ole Miss) answered with 26 points and 7 assists and American power forward Jarrid Famous (211-88, college: S.Florida, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Penarol. Four Penarol players scored in double figures. Aguada have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion (3-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Urunday. Penarol at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
