We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 4th placed Ameghino (7-4) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Estudiantes T. (8-4) 86-61 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was Ignacio Echevarria (195-98) who scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Joaquin Noblega (194-97) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Abel Aristimuno (195-91, agency: BIG) produced 5 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Lautaro Fraga (185-92) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Estudiantes T. moved-up to third place, which they share with Barrio Parque and Salta Basket. Loser Ameghino dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
