Very important is a loss of second ranked Cupes (5-2) against fourth ranked GUG (4-3) on Tuesday night. Cupes were defeated by GUG in a tough game 79-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cupes. They outrebounded Cupes 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Juan Guerrero (205-93, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. American Jordan Williams (198-92, college: N.Texas) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Center Luis Santos (203-94, college: St.Louis) replied with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Juan Miguel Suero (196-93) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cupes. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 4-3 record. Cupes at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. They share the position with CPN. GUG's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santiago .
