Not a big story in a game in Caracas where 9th ranked Heroes (1-9) were defeated by third ranked Cocodrilos (8-2) 70-61 on Sunday. It was a great evening for the former international point guard Gregory Vargas (182-86, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 8 assists. Forward Jovanni Diaz (203-90) helped adding 10 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Kevin Nino (195-91) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and the former international swingman Rafael Perez (193-82) scored 15 points. Heroes' coach Mario Andriolo tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cocodrilos keep a position of league leader, which they share with Broncos and Spartans. Heroes lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. Cocodrilos' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Caracas to the arena Llaneros.
