LMBPF top team - Lobas (9-1) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat fifth ranked Algodoneras (1-9) in Ciudad de Mexico 80-71. Lobas made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Lobas outrebounded Algodoneras 43-29 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Lobas made 7 blocks. The former international forward Jacqueline Luna-Castro (188-93, college: Charleston) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Hazel Ramirez (165-92, college: LMU) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Five Lobas players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Brittany Byrd (175, college: UIC) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Rayven Lasem scored 15 points and 6 rebounds.
