Regular Season Round 11: Centauros - Indios 48-68

Very significant was Indios' (#5) 20-point road victory against 6th ranked Centauros 68-48. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Cesar Silva (190-81) who led the winners and scored 14 points. Swingman Emilio Cappare (199-90) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. Luis Germany (195-95) came up with 3 points and 12 rebounds and Yoeser Valera (186-96) added 11 points respectively for Centauros in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Centauros at the other side keep the sixth position with five games lost. Indios will play against higher ranked Gigantes (#3) in Puerto Ordaz in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Centauros' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Margarita to the arena Condores.
