Leader Spartans delivered the ninth victory. This time they crushed 9th ranked Heroes (1-10) 87-48 in Caracas. Spartans forced 19 Heroes turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Heroes' players. The winners were led by international center Windi Graterol (204-86, agency: Pro Sports) who scored that evening 13 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) supported him with 13 points and 5 assists. Five Spartans players scored in double figures. Even 11 points by Colombian Yocsy Colina (187-90) did not help to save the game for Heroes. Swingman Kevin Nino (195-91) added 6 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first position with 9-2 record, which they share with Cocodrilos. Heroes lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with ten games lost. Spartans' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Caracas Llaneros.
