The most surprising game was a loss of Hurricanes in San Andres on Tuesday night. Hosts were rolled over by Storm 88-67. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Storm looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hurricanes' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Dominican Jaison Colome (190-96) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Dominican forward Jose Familia (201-98) contributed with 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Storm players scored in double figures. American guard John Merchant (187-89, college: Dowling) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and guard Kevin Masquita (-95) added 12 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Hurricanes. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Storm is looking forward to face Piratas in Bogota in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Hurricanes will play on the road against Sabios in Manizales and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
