An interesting game for Hurricanes which played road game in Bucaramanga against Bucaros. Hurricanes managed to get a 4-point victory 80-76. Hurricanes forced 19 Bucaros turnovers. American guard John Merchant (187-89, college: Dowling) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. His fellow American import Jaelyn Johnson-Coston (198-93, college: FMU) chipped in 25 points and 6 rebounds. Hurricanes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Nigerian-Jamaican swingman Weyinmi Rose (196-86, college: Providence) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and American Parker Farris (195-94, college: Hawaii-Hilo) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hurricanes' next round opponent will be Sabios in Manizales and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bucaros will play at home against Cafeteros and hope to win that game.
