The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Halcones as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Halcones defeated 6th ranked Coeindeguasa at home 66-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Coeindeguasa. The best player for the winners was point guard Anthony Guerra (178-97) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Hector Chur (-99) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. Selvin Hidalgo (-3) produced 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Helmuth Palacios added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Coeindeguasa players scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Coeindeguasa at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Coeindeguasa will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Halcones will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Olmeca on the road.
