Regular Season Round 22: Dep Viedma - GELP 78-69

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rio Negro. First ranked Dep Viedma faced 3rd ranked GELP. Host Dep Viedma (10-3) defeated guests from La Plata (8-4) 78-69. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GELP. Point guard Fermin Thygesen (186-98) scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Matias Eidintas (186-95) chipped in 22 points during the contest. At the losing side Pablo Alderete (198-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Carlos Gianella (181) scored 19 points. Four GELP players scored in double figures. GELP's coach Mauro Tartaglia rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dep Viedma maintains first position with 10-3 record. Loser GELP dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Dep Viedma will meet Rivadavia (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. GELP will play against Villa Mitre (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
