Eleventh-ranked Olimpico (5-9) made lots of trouble for fifth ranked Salta Basket (10-5) in Ceres on Saturday. The visitors from Salta managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Strangely Olimpico outrebounded Salta Basket 58-44 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Nahuel Buchaillot (178-0) fired 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Cristian Cardo (198-99) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Four Salta Basket players scored in double figures. Salta Basket's coach Jose Luis Pisani used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Gonzalo Guevara (196-98) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and guard Alejo Crotti (188-92) added 20 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Salta Basket moved-up to fourth place. Olimpico lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Salta Basket will face Estudiantes T. (#5) in the next round. Olimpico will play against Riachuelo LR (#14) and hope to win that game.
