The game in Chalchuapa supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Cojute (7-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Chalchuapa (1-9). Cojute smashed Chalchuapa 116-91 on Saturday. Cojute dominated down low during the game scoring 94 of its points in the paint compared to Chalchuapa's 70. Cojute forced 23 Chalchuapa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Shahmel Brackett (183-91, college: UNCP) fired 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Andravious Smith (196-95, college: Tougaloo) chipped in 32 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Cojute players scored in double figures. Forward Marcus Feagin (192-91) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds and forward Jose Ortiz (190-90, college: DelVal) added 33 points (!!!) respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cojute have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-5 record. Loser Chalchuapa stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Cojute will meet at home Brujos (#6) in the next round. Chalchuapa will play against the league's second-placed Santa Ana and hope to win that game.
