An interesting game for Barreteras (6-6) which played road game in Ciudad de Mexico against 4th ranked Quetzales (4-8). Third ranked Barreteras managed to get a 8-point victory 75-67. Barreteras forced 25 Quetzales turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Kayla Roberts (185-96, college: Norfolk St.) who scored 17 points. The former international guard Paola Estrada (172-93, agency: DC Sports) chipped in 8 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Roberts is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Cuban center Clenia Noblet (190-87) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and Daniela Cordero added 17 points and 5 steals respectively. Barreteras moved-up to second place, which they share with Mexcaltecas and Racers. Quetzales at the other side keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Barreteras' next round opponent will be league's leader Lobas in Ciudad de Mexico and it will be for sure the game of the week. Quetzales' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Ciudad de Mexico to the arena Aztks.
